Weekly Bulletin – 7th July

This Sunday there is no 9am service. There will be a 10:30 am service at the church with no children’s activities and an all-age celebration over at the camping weekend in Sandwich, Delf Farm.

Chris has accepted the invitation to return on Sunday 16th July. He will be involved in both the 9am and 10.30am services.  There will be opportunities to informally meet Chris and his family on the Sunday afternoon and on Monday 17th July.  The Deacons will then meet to discuss bringing a recommendation to the church meeting (Wednesday 19th July).

Here are the key dates:
Sunday 16th July Morning – Visit by Chris, involvement in both services.
Sunday 16th July Afternoon – BBQ and drop-in, probably at Roy and Gill’s, to meet Chris.
Monday 17th July – Other opportunities to meet Chris on site (Details T.B.C.).
Monday 17th July – Deacons meet to discuss a proposal
Wednesday 19th July 7pm – Church Meeting to potentially vote on issuing a call to Chris.

Please come along if you can and continue to pray for all those involved in the process.

This year’s summer Holiday Club is called Wonderzone! It will be a three-day club running Aug 22-24th, more information about registering to come soon. Ella is looking for extra volunteers, so please chat to her if you might be able to help.

Can you help? We want to bless some staff at a local secondary school on their inset/training day on July 21st.
Can you donate any of the following: Cakes, biscuits or chocolates. Small gifts: Small candles, individually wrapped teabags, small packet of biscuits, post -its notes, small antibac gel, lip balm, peppermints, biro’s, pencils.

Any donations need to be left at the church by Friday 14th. Anyone making cakes or donating chocolates should get in touch with me (maggiepaddison@gmail.com) directly to arrange pick up of the those. It’s a great opportunity to say that we, as a church community, support and value them and that they are held in our prayers and in the words of a well-known supermarket, every little helps! Maggie.
