Mission Focus Group

Local and Global Mission

As a church we are committed to mission both locally and globally. Much of the financial support the church can give is headed up by a church-based team called Mission Focus. During the year Mission Focus meet together to administer the mission budget – normally 10% of the church’s overall budget – as well as organise visits from Mission Groups that we are able to support. As well as supporting the church’s partner missions – The Gap Project (local) and Global Challenge (Global) each year the church supports a number of mission groups.

Baptist Home Mission

Home Mission is all about helping Baptist churches and individuals to reach their mission potential and bring the love of God to their communities. As part of the Baptist family QRBC support new initiatives as well as churches that need additional support to maintain their mission to the community in which they are placed.

Baptist Missionary Society

BMS works among some of the most marginalised and least evangelised people, as well as those forced to flee home, in some of the most fragile places on earth. QRBC has a long-standing commitment to BMS and its vision.

Bethany Children’s Trust

BCT is a Christian charity for children at risk in Africa and beyond. Focussing on projects which support children with disabilities or HIV, living on the streets or accused of witchcraft as a church we support their vision both individually and corporately.

Tearfund is a Christian charity that partners with churches in more than 50 of the world’s poorest countries to tackle poverty through sustainable development, responding to disasters, and challenging injustice.

Timothy Project

The Timothy Project is a Biblically based training program designed to help men with a yearning for purpose find their mission and the courage to achieve it.

Crisis Appeals

Alongside the amount Mission Focus sets aside for crisis appeals the church and its wider community respond generously to many of the emerging crises each year

Other Mission Groups

From time-to-time QRBC supports the work of other mission groups. Among those would be:-
