SUNDAY SERVICES
In between our services this week we will be serving pastries and drinks. So please, if you are coming to the 9am, hang around afterwards for refreshments, and if you are coming to the All-Age service at 10.30am, come a bit early to enjoy refreshments. We will be continuing our time spent in the Resurrection stories – this week we will be journeying with the two disciples towards Emmaus and back to Jerusalem. Sunday Service – YouTube
NEW PEOPLE’S LUNCH – Sunday 23rd April @12:30ish
All are welcome, whether you have been at Queens Road for days, weeks or months.
We will be having food together and sharing information about the life of the church and how you can be involved.

SMALL GROUP SUNDAY
Next Sunday (April 30th) we are having a focus on Small Groups.
There will be information about each group and an opportunity to chat to the small group leaders.
MIDWEEK COMMUNION
The next midweek communion service has been moved to a week later, it will now be on Wednesday 3rd May.
This is because there is the Thanksgiving service for the life of Ruth Ferris on Wednesday 26th April at 11am. All are welcome to join Ruth’s family.
ACTS (Active Christianity in Thanet Schools) PRAYER FOR SCHOOLS
People across Thanet are meeting to pray for our schools and the work of ACTS in partnership with Thanet churches on Thursday 27th April. There are opportunities for anyone that wants to join us to pray from 10am – 9pm.
SAFEGUARDING TRAINING
Note for all GAP & Church Volunteers – Please sign up.
On Saturday 20th May, 9:30-1pm we are holding a Safeguarding training session.
This training is a foundation level for all volunteers that are working with children or vulnerable adults. We will make it interactive and relevant to activities that regularly happen in the building and scenarios that could realistically happen. And importantly, we will start the morning off with coffee and pastries!
There is a sign-up sheet in the church office, so please get in touch by email, phone or pop in and sign up.
It is important that all volunteers do this, and we have a record of who has been to training.
LADIES GROUP – GAP IN THE MARKET FASHION SHOW
Gap in the Market presents an evening with Fashion
Thursday 18th May 2023. Doors open 6.30 pm for 7.00 pm start
Finger buffet and soft drinks provided. No charge but donations welcome on the night.
There will be a range of items of clothing, accessories etc available to buy (can pay by card or cash).
We would be very grateful of volunteers to be models on the night. Ladies, men, young people, and children needed. If you can help, please let Jenny, Di, Lorna, Charmaine, Cheryl or Mary know, ASAP.

MEN’S GROUP
The next Men’s Group event is Indoor Green Bowling on Thursday 27th April 6.3Opm at Cliftonville Indoor Bowling Ctr. The price of £20 includes Fish and Chips – Tea/Coffee. Sign-up sheet is outside the auditorium.
